Rene van Eijk Orchideeën BV is an MPS A certified company specialising in growing high quality standard Cymbidium (orchids) as cut flowers. The nursery is set up at two locations with a combined surface area of 35.000 square meters. Production is 375.000 stems per year during the September June period.

Rene van Eijk Orchideeën BV specialises in ready-made packing of cymbidium for long distance flights to market. The stems are packed colour mixed with five or six colours in each box or as mono boxes using only one colour. We also prepare ready-made bouquets for supermarkets and department stores. All packing is done after close consultation with our customers.

Down Under Orchids is the refinement branch of our company. Since 1999 we have been agent for Bryants Orchids from Australia, a well-known company throughout the world. Down Under Orchids tests the different Cymbidium varieties for Bryants Orchids, and when they prove to be a supplement or improvement to our current assortment, we will bring these varieties to the market. Down Under Orchids also runs a refinement program of its own. Crossings are created and bought every year, and after extensive testing the best seedlings will be brought to market.
